MaRVEL SPOTLIGHT

Playwright Christian Borle chats about the making of his play, the relationship between teenage Thor and Loki, and how this type of storytelling begets empathy. He also shares his thoughts on Hammered's origin play, a short piece included with the script that tells the story of how the play's Super Hero came into their power. A series of plays developed for teenagers, Marvel Spotlight explores the humans behind your favorite Super Heroes as they balance mastering their newfound powers while facing the real-world challenges of young adults.

TICKETING POLICY

All Revelations School Day Performances will be reserved on a First-Paid, First-Served basis. Reservation forms will be accepted, but tickets/seats will not be confirmed until payment is made in full! This policy is non-negotiable. No exceptions will be made! Please book your yellow bus as soon as possible after submitting your reservation!

  • Methods of Payment: Visa, AMEX, MasterCard & Discover are accepted. Purchase Orders & School Checks (No personal checks) will be accepted as payment when an image of the document is sent to our box office email.

  • To create more availability for schools to attend, New York Black Arts hosts two (2) showings per day of each schooltime program: 11:00am & 12:00pm.

  • Each school group must request the total number of attendants per school in total and not per class including all students, teachers, paraprofessionals, nurses and parental chaperones.

  • Due to the NYCDOE/Bus company policies of returning children to their school by a certain time, we cannot offer our 12:00PM showings to schools that fall outside of a 5-mile perimeter of Langston Hughes Cultural Center/Dempsey Theatre. 

  • No Refunds will be offered except in the rare occurance that the performance is cancelled by inclement weather/Acts of God. Groups that have no-show buses or buses that break down may contact the box office to approve a transfer of their confirmed reservation to another performance if seats are available.

  • Late/early arriving guests may not transfer their reservations to the other performance time of the day. Guests will line up outside the auditorium for venue access into the corresponding building and will be subject to weather conditions. Guests that wish to sit together must enter together. Plan to arrive ON TIME!
